Empat bulan kemudian, orang gres Barden yang gres datang Beca Mitchell (Anna Kendrick) tidak berkeinginan untuk kuliah, tapi beliau terpaksa melakukannya oleh ayahnya (John Benjamin Hickey), seorang profesor di universitas tersebut, yang dengannya Beca mempunyai hubungan yang tegang.
